Kenyan comedian and media personality Rapcha the Sayantist has finally opened up about the real reason behind his highly publicized fallout with Iko Nini Podcast host Mwafreeka, shedding light on what led to his decision to walk away from the popular show.
Speaking candidly during an episode of his Chizi Podcast, Rapcha revealed that the tension between him and Mwafreeka escalated after he publicly called out celebrated rapper Khaligraph Jones. According to Rapcha, the situation took an unexpected turn when Mwafreeka addressed the matter during a subsequent episode of Iko Nini, explaining on camera why Rapcha should not have gone after the award-winning rapper.
However, Rapcha says the manner in which the issue was handled left him feeling deeply disrespected.
“Alikua ananisomea mbele ya camera,” Rapcha said, describing the moment as a public lecture rather than a private conversation.
The comedian disclosed that the episode was particularly painful because his children were watching at the time and were shocked by how the situation unfolded live on air.

Rapcha further revealed that the fallout was not an isolated incident. He claimed that there had been previous tensions between them, notably during the production of his Raw and Uncut comedy special, where he again felt undermined and disrespected by Mwafreeka.
In his remarks, Rapcha also accused Mwafreeka of choosing Khaligraph Jones over him, despite what he described as a long-standing friendship between the two. He suggested that Mwafreeka’s decision to address the issue publicly was driven by a desire to impress Khaligraph, especially given the rapper’s stature in the Kenyan music industry.
The revelations have sparked renewed debate online, with fans divided over the handling of the dispute and the broader dynamics of loyalty, respect, and conflict resolution within Kenya’s creative industry.
Neither Mwafreeka nor Khaligraph Jones has publicly responded to Rapcha’s latest claims.
