Nairobi United FC have reinforced their technical bench as the club gears up for a demanding and defining phase of the season, with a congested January fixture list set to test both squad depth and tactical maturity in the Sportpesa League and on the continental stage.
The club has appointed Bonface Omondi Musa, CAF B, from Kariobangi Sharks as the new assistant coach, bringing with him valuable top flight experience and a strong tactical background. Joining him is Sadique Ambani Waziri, CAF B, formerly of Ulinzi Stars, who takes up the role of second assistant coach, adding further depth and discipline to the technical unit.
Former Kenyan international Kevin Kimani has also been drafted into the setup as the new strength and conditioning coach. A FIFA certified professional, Kimani is expected to play a key role in enhancing player fitness, recovery and overall performance as Nairobi United navigate a tight and physically demanding schedule.
Technical Director Salim Ramadhan Ali said the changes were part of a broader strategy to elevate the team to the next level as the club targets continued success in the new year. He noted that the strengthened technical bench is critical as Nairobi United push for the Sportpesa League title while also aiming to retain the Mozzart Cup.
Head Coach Nicholas Muyoti welcomed the new appointments, stating that the expanded and experienced technical team will significantly support the squad in meeting its season objectives. He added that the blend of tactical insight, physical conditioning and experience at the highest level will be vital as the club looks to make history in its debut campaign.
