Coastal leaders allied to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) on Saturday held their fourth day of political sensitization engagements in Ganze, Kilifi County, as they rallied residents to support President William Ruto and the government’s development agenda.
The engagement is part of an ongoing regional mobilization tour aimed at strengthening grassroots support across the Coast while highlighting key achievements under the administration’s economic transformation agenda.

During the rally, leaders emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusivity and equitable representation, pointing to ongoing and completed development projects in Kilifi County that they said are improving livelihoods and expanding economic opportunities.
UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar urged residents to formally register as party members, noting that the party remains focused on addressing long-standing socio-economic challenges in the region. He also cited improved stability at the Coast compared to previous years marked by insecurity.
Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Salim Mvurya said the Coastal region now enjoys stronger representation in national leadership, placing it at the center of decision-making. He encouraged continued support for the administration to unlock further development gains.

Amason Kingi reaffirmed President Ruto’s commitment to the region, assuring residents that their support would not be taken for granted. He said the government remains focused on addressing historical development disparities at the Coast.
UDA Deputy Party Leader Issa Timamy echoed the sentiments, noting increased unity among Coastal leaders in backing the government’s development agenda.
The leaders also declared support for UDA gubernatorial aspirant Aisha Jumwa, urging residents to actively participate in party membership drives and calling for a transparent and competitive nomination process without zoning.
The sensitization campaign is expected to proceed to Kwale County as UDA leaders enter the fifth day of their Coast region tour, continuing efforts to consolidate political support ahead of future electoral cycles.
