The company’s EV assembly plant will be established in Naivasha under the Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA). SEZA CEO Dr. Kenneth Chelule, present at the event, applauded the move as a strategic investment aligned with Kenya’s national development goals. The project is expected to create new employment opportunities, drive local manufacturing, and reduce the country’s overdependence on imported vehicles.

TAD MOTORS is also committed to empowering local communities by investing in skills training, developing a local supply chain, and ensuring that electric mobility is not only clean but also inclusive. Plans are underway to introduce financing models that will enable small businesses and youth groups to access EVs affordably, alongside a robust after-sales support network and charging infrastructure across the country.
