Former French MP Meir Habib revealed that President Emmanuel Macron offered to visit Israel, but israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused, citing “current conditions” as unsuitable.
Last month, Netanyahu reportedly sent a letter to Macron accusing him of fueling antisemitism by supporting a Palestinian state. He urged Macron to act decisively before the Jewish New Year on September 23.
The Élysée Palace condemned Netanyahu’s claims as “shameful,” stating that linking France’s recognition of Palestine to antisemitic violence is false and irresponsible.
