NAIROBI, Kenya — United Opposition leaders have vowed to protect votes in the kenya’s 2027 general elections amid election malpractise allegations raising conserns in oppostion political camp.
Speaking during a Sunday church service in PCEA Utawala attended by Dr. Fred Matiang’i , Martha Katura, Kalanzo Musyoka, Eugine Wamalwa and Rigathi Gachagua, the opposition leaders jointly Condemn President Ruto’s administration over what they term as, ‘ Misleading and Running the Country in the wrong direction’ .
There is endless complaints from Kenyans everywhere, yet Ruto’s government is now targeting churches. Said DCP Party Rigathi Gachagua.
Jubilee Party presidential flagbearer Fred Matiang’i, declared that no vote will be stolen in the next general election, warning that Kenyans are more vigilant and resolute than ever before.
Addressing supporters at a political rally after church service, Dr. Matiang’i accused William Ruto of misreading the mood of the country, particularly in the aftermath of the Gen Z protests that shook several parts of the nation. He noted that months later, the government has yet to provide a clear and coherent response to the grievances raised by young people.
Instead, he criticized what he termed as “abracadabra politics,” saying the reshuffling of Cabinet members does little to address the real concerns facing citizens.
“I am not a prophet and I have no credentials to prophesy,” he said, “but if we continue on this path, we are headed in the wrong direction — and those in government will see it for themselves.”
Dr. Matiang’i expressed concern over what he described as the growing boldness of citizens, warning that recent events should worry anyone in the security sector.
“Wananchi wamefika mahali they are ready to face teargas, to face bullets, and make a point,” he stated, urging the government to listen and engage Kenyans genuinely.
Wiper Patriotic Front Party leader Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka raised concerns over police brutality and increasing deaths on Kenyans over government’s excessive use of force questioning government intention. Kalonzo Further Kenyans to demand public inquiry of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s death.

People’s Liberation Party leader Martha Karua lamented over increasing impunity and evident brutality on kenyans by state machinery without accountability. Karua Further advocated for peace and order in the country.
We are witnessing and experiencing impunity, the weapons procured by taxpayers should not be used to harm them… We need peace and order in the country.
DAP-Kenya party leader Eugine Wamalwa echoed Karua’s sentiments demanding accountability in the recent church attacks witnessed in the recent events.
