Taita Taveta County is set to host the highly anticipated 97th Annual Music and Cultural Festivals, an event that promises to celebrate Kenya’s rich heritage and diverse traditions. Slated for 1st to 10th December 2024, the festival will take place at the Taita Taveta National Polytechnic in Voi, bringing together performers, artisans, and visitors from across the nation and beyond.
The County Director of Tourism, Wallace Mwaluma, confirmed that preparations for the event are nearing completion. “This year’s festival will highlight the beauty and depth of our traditions, creating a platform for cultural exchange and fostering unity among communities,” he stated.
The 10-day extravaganza will feature a variety of activities that celebrate Kenya’s diverse cultural identity, offering something for everyone:
- Music and Dance Performances: Traditional and contemporary groups from across Kenya will showcase vibrant performances, providing a window into the country’s cultural richness.
- Art Exhibitions: Local and regional artists will display unique works inspired by Kenya’s heritage, blending tradition with modern creativity.
